I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity. Edgar Allen Poe
The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. - H. L. August 06, 2013 - 9:40 a.m. It's almost 1 AM and I'm exhausted and the internet hog is making doing anything online difficult but I have to post something. I am back from Falcon Ridge. I can't say home from Falcon Ridge as Falcon Ridge is home. Carl Wallenda said being on the wire is life, the rest is waiting. It's not quite true of Falcon Ridge but it can seem like that when you are there. Returning to the outside world is not waking from a dream but falling asleep. Today I'm keeping it short; I'm not going to give an accounting of my time at the festival but simply give some quintessential Falcon Ridge moments. Brianne and I getting to the Budgiedome camp just before the rain and Steve and Paul helping us get our tents up in record time. I signed the Pro-Truth Pledge: please hold me accountable.
