I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity.
Edgar Allen Poe

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all.
- H. L. Mencken

Many people would sooner die than think; In fact, they do so
-Bertrand Russell

What I have been telling you, from alpha to omega, what is the one great thing the sigil taught me — that everything in life is miraculous. For the sigil taught me that it rests within the power of each of us to awaken at will from a dragging nightmare of life made up of unimportant tasks and tedious useless little habits, to see life as it really is, and to rejoice in its exquisite wonderfulness. If the sigil were proved to be the top of a tomato-can, it would not alter that big fact, nor my fixed faith. No Harrowby, the common names we call things by do not matter — except to show how very dull we are ...

I was bad today. I needed to get things done and I didnt. tomorrow I will force myself to go to the DMV, the lawyer said it was important. This is exactly the kind of procrastinating that got me in trouble in the first place. Tomorrow is going to rain of course and today was beautiful. Oh well, Ill deal with it.

The only good thing that happened today was helping Stacey with her math. That was my only real human contact. Thats probably why Im having trouble writing tonight.

I know Ill write a to do list for tomorrow and then see if I can follow through on it.

  1. Call WFUV and tell them Im volunteering on the one day drive.
  2. Remind Jeanine that I need tickets for FRFF
  3. Go to the DMV and get what I need
  4. Call lawyer and make appointment to see him.

That should give me something to write about tomorrow. On Thursday Im going to Newark Airport to meet Nitsa. Its a blast from the past, just like when I met Carey for the first time.

I read The Wall Today but didnt find anything quotable out of context so Ill go back to Bartletts. Todays is by H.L. Mencken:

The older I grow the more I distrust the familiar doctrine that age brings wisdom.

I signed the Pro-Truth Pledge:
please hold me accountable.
