I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity.
Edgar Allen Poe

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all.
- H. L. Mencken

Many people would sooner die than think; In fact, they do so

What I have been telling you, from alpha to omega, what is the one great thing the sigil taught me — that everything in life is miraculous. For the sigil taught me that it rests within the power of each of us to awaken at will from a dragging nightmare of life made up of unimportant tasks and tedious useless little habits, to see life as it really is, and to rejoice in its exquisite wonderfulness. If the sigil were proved to be the top of a tomato-can, it would not alter that big fact, nor my fixed faith. No Harrowby, the common names we call things by do not matter — except to show how very dull we are ...

The Guide to Perfect Etiquette

My computer is having issues and it is getting late but I'll try and write an entry. I went to the doctor yesterday and she decided that I need to repeat the treatment for scabbies; then repeat it again in a week. If that doesn't clear up my problem I'll need a skip biopsy.

That's not what I came here to talk about, I came to talk about the draft. Wait, no, that was Arlo Guthrie. What did I come here to talk about? Oh yes; etiquette. LORi and I came up with some important rules that everybody needs to follow.

While talking to Lori all of a sudden her line went dead. That leads to a dilemma. If I can her and she is trying to call me then we'll each get busy signals and not connect. We were both able to connect because we followed the rule. I made the initial phone call therefore it was my responsibility to call back and Lori's to keep her phone line open. We voted on it and the measure passed unanimously. Our jursistiction is anyone with a phone so you should feel bound by it. Your life will go much smoother if you do. No there can be exceptions in cases where both parties agree. Lets say that A has free long distance and B dosen't. If B initiates the call and they get disconnected, they can have an agreement that A will call back. That must be made clear though before the disconnection. Where there is any doubt it is assumed that the initial caller must call back. Now this is important so you really should repost it in your blogs to spread the world. It is an official rule and if they are any damages caused by not following it you will be help legally responsible.

While discussing self-service supermarket checkout Steve heard Lori say "I always check myself out." Without the context he didn't know what that meant. That confusion lead us to make rules for auto-eroticism.

Now personally I always take myself out the night before. I make sure to take myself someplace nice, to show respect. The next day I'll send flowers or chocolates. Most importantly I always spend the night. There are rules to live me.

I'm having some sleep issues. I took Ambien last night and still couldn't fall asleep. The itching isn't helping. It actually got far worse after I applied tie cream for the scabies. It was not a comfortable night. I have to go through the thing again in a week. I didn't do that last time. It is needed to make sure the treatment is effectives. While I don't like the idea of having scabies at least it is treatable. If it is something else I'll continue to itch.

Tonight I'm playing bridge with Roy at the Franklin; our usual game. We didn't score at Garden City so maybe we make of for it by scoring tonight in the stronger game. I miss having dinner with Roy before the game. I'm back to never sharing meals with anyone.

OK it is time for me to go. So once again I don't have time to talk about Emilie and the 6,000 mile long penis. Do with it what you will.
