With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
October 04, 2009 - 11:32 p.m. Once again I have to much to write about to let me also write the entry I've been planning. The odds are nothing interesting will happen before tomorrow so I should be able to write it then. I was back at WFUV today for the second day of the drive. Today I brought my camera so I'll give you a tour of the station and the people. Reception From eight to eleven John Platt's Sunday Breakfast was on. I always volunteer for John's show an my Gentle Readers should be familiar with him. I make my pledge during his show. I always plan on how I'll answer the question on the pledge form, "Why did you decide to support WFUV?" My handwriting is terrible so now I actually write it on Word, print it out, the tape it to my pledge form. That makes it easy to copy and paste here. I hear live music over 100 times a year; musicians like Red Molly, Amy Speace, Kelly Flint, and Anthony Da Costa. The only place on the radio I can hear them sing and be interviewed with any regularity is on WFUV's Sunday Breakfast.Where can you hear the best music? As always I missed when he read it on the air; I was too busy supervising. I never got around to taking any photos during the show. I did during Ceol na nGael the Sunday Irish music show. There is an hour break between Sunday Breakfast and Ceol na nGael. I always say I'll do something semi-productive during the break. This time I wanted to go on Facebook and link to mylast entry. As usual I never got around to it. Instead I hung out with Ken and Lori. Lori is a regular reader of Wise Madness. She said that she enjoys my "Idiot Stories." She doesn't wonder at my stupidity but says things like, "I always lose my keys too." That is part of my reason for telling idiot stories. It's a reason I write much of what I write. They are things that I suspect that others can identify with but that people rarely voice. We guess that others think and do the same things but we don't really know. Brian came for the second shift. I did not supervise during Ceol na nGael, Kathy, one of the students did. Everyone in this photo either is a past or present student that worked at the station or a relative of one. Wonderful people all. They are also all related. Here are the new hosts of Ceol na nGael along with the new host and current producer Liz Noonan. l to r Liz Noonan, Kerri Gallagher, and Collen Taylor Here is Ralph's office where they tally the pledge numbers. I don't know the gentleman's name but the woman at the computer is Carly an the other one is Ashley. Carly is Jill's daughter. Jill's another ubervolunteer. I've known her for years an I've known Carly since she was a kid. Here are some photos of photos at the station., This is the door to Rita Houston's office. OK, my computer is being too difficult. I'm just going to show you the slide show. You'll recognize the people hanging on the walls of the station. If my computer worked properly I'd have had this done an hour ago at least. I lose so much time from its problems. I'm going to have some ice cream then go to sleep.
