With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
November 01, 2005 - 9:10 p.m. After working a 12 hours shift at WFUV on about 4 hours of sleep I’m pretty tired. I think I still better update though. I’ve had a lot of fun since my last entry. Here is a quick rundown. I taught my classes dressed as a pirate. When I gave the classes a quiz I told threatened them with my cutlass if they cheated. LORi and I worked on a successor religion to Pastafarianism that includes the Flying Spaghetti Monster’s child, the Flying Spaghettios Monster. We need a name for it; any suggestions? For now I’m calling it Circular Pastifariansm. I walked from my school on 61st street to Birdland on 44th street with my model of the Flying Spaghetti Monster dangling from a fishing poll. I preached Pastafarianism to Christine Lavin and her friends and gave Chris a pamphlet explaining the religion I had printed up. One of her friends then insisted I do my routine for her friends. I gave them pamphlets too. I was not wearing a costume. I am a pious Pastafarian wearing the traditional garb of my people. I got to hang out with Lisa. We were joined by Yoram. Yoram and I worked out some fine points of Circular Pastafarianism. We added the Holy Sauce to the trinity. Melissa joined us as the show started. She was dressed as a Vestal Virgin. Christine didn’t do enough songs, she acted as more of an emcee. That being said, some of the other acts were very good. Watch out for a new musical by the guy that wrote Batboy. Based on the one song we heard it will rock. I finally got to talk to Julie Gold about us having cancer at the same time. I had lots of fun with people I love. I volunteered all day today. I had lots of fun there too. The Three Irish Tenors are O’Pavarotti, Placido McDomingo, and the other one. As always at WFUV I felt useful and needed. I’m too tired to write any more.
