With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
November 21, 2005 - 12:21 a.m. For some reason I’ve been really tired today. I think I got up too early. I fell asleep this afternoon when I wasn’t trying to. I feel guilty, it meant I spend less time with my mother than I’d have liked to. Tonight I went to see Amy Rigby at the Sunday Night Music Club, a series run by Scott from the Sanctuary Concerts. I wish that he and Ahrre from Coffee With Conscience would move to Queens so I wouldn’t have to drive to Jersey to see their shows. This was my first time at this venue, the Watchung Arts Center and I got lost on the way there. I drove right by it. It was dark and the sign was not easily read from the road. I eventually turned around and tried again and this time I saw it. This was my first time seeing a full solo acoustic set from Amy. I would never think of her as a rocker from these shows. If these were my first times seeing her I’d think of her as a funny quirky singer/songwriter. I prefer the band shows but these shows are good too. While I was out I realized that I had to make up word problems for my classes tomorrow. My old computer had a nice supply on the hard drive but most of them are lost to me now. Good thing I can make these up pretty easily. They are work problems one of my favorite types. Here is one of them: It takes Sam twice as long to do a job as it takes Frodo. If they work together they can get it done in 5 hours. How long would it take each of them alone? I remembered another drummer joke. What do you call a beautiful woman on a drummer’s arm?
