With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
-Steven Weinberg

The good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you are good you will be happy - I mean that if you are happy you will be good.
-Bertrand Russell

Too much sanity may be madness and the maddest of all, to see life as it is and not as it should be.
-Miguel de Cervantes

The only way to find the limits of the possible is by going past them into the impossible.

A Farewell to Air

I’ve hit a technical snag so I can’t write the entry that I planned to write today. That leaves me with an entry to fill. I’ll probably keep it short.

Errata

In the early edition of my last entry I said I was going to see Jian and the Roches at the Walkabout Clearwater Coffeehouse. The problem is that Acoustic Live gave last year’s schedule. As a coincidence I received this years schedule in the mail yesterday and found the error. I did get to show off that I learned the strike through tag.

The big news yesterday is that I got a call from school about my schedule for next semester. It looks like I’ll be teaching three courses again. I have to listen to the message again, I think it might be just two days a week. If it is then Wednesday will be a very long day with both a morning class and an evening one. As soon as I finish this I’ll call and work out the details.

I talked to Stacey yesterday for the first time in a while. The good news is that it looks like she’ll be visiting in March. The bad news is that it looks like Carey won’t be able to visit then.

This afternoon I’m seeing Deirdre Flint deep in the wilds of Jersey. Mapquest doesn’t know that Randolf, the town she’s playing in exists. I had to call the library where she’s playing and get directions. It looks like it will be pretty easy to get there.

I saw Michael Jordan’s last game in New York last night. I couldn’t believe that people were making a big deal of it. He already has retired twice. I find it hard to get worked up over his third farewell. If I hadn’t missed two games last week I’d have skipped it and seen We’re About 9 or Cadence Carroll last night. WA9 will be playing here next month and I’ll catch them then.

I’m feeling a bit lonely now. I’m seeing Lisa on Wednesday maybe that will help. I’m also feeling writer’s block. I better call it quits for today.
