With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
September 17, 2003 - 11:21 p.m. I got the bad news today. I am switching classes and losing my fun Math 101 class and getting another calculus class. It is going to be tough picking up with another class that somebody else started. They will be behind my other class so I won’t have the usual benefits of teaching two sections of the same class. I’ll have to make up two different tests unless I can arrange for them to catch up some how. I am not looking forward to telling my Math 101 class. We have been getting along so well. Their next teacher will not be as much fun as me. I hope the students look at me as being fun, not just insane. Tonight I tutored Roy’s daughter for the SATs and in calculus. Her class is a lesson behind mine. I got to explain radians to her. I really love that. Pretty sad huh, I get my kicks explaining math. I shouldn’t say that, it’s a good thing. I haven’t talked to Leah and today is her fake birthday. Somehow the first year I met her I got her birthday wrong and thought it was September 17th. I got her a birthday present, a copy of You Will Go to the Moon. I got Carey a copy for her birthday, that year too. I gave it to Leah at the last Früvous show I went to outside of Frücon. Anyway it started a tradition and I wish her a happy fake birthday every year. So should I go see Bootleg Remedy tomorrow? They are playing in the Williamsburg Jazz Fest. I really should I guess, there is no cover and only a 1 drink minimum. It starts at nine, so I wouldn’t be out that late. I’ll have to see how I feel.
