With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
2002-05-10 - 11:22 a.m. Yesterday was the last day of class. Technically it was the day after the last day. I used one of the snow days since I missed a couple of classes this semester. Some students couldn't understand why we needed it since we never had snow. What is going to happen to them? Will they ever get a clue? About half the class didn't show which wasn't good. I saw that some of them were at school too. Oh well, their loss. Of course they aren't doing well. I handed back the tests yesterday. I'm very tempted to never return them to the people that didn't show. I'll have to bring them to the final if I want to return them and it will be a pain. After school I went to eat at Popeye's, I haven't done that in a long time. I used to eat there once or twice a week. I then checked to see if there were any new Buffy figures in, there wasn't. Then I had a chocolate banana crepe, yummy. My sister Alison took my mother out for Mother's Day last night. She can't make it on Sunday. She surprised my mother by having her son Max, meet them at the restaurant. My mother loved that. I'm going to barbeque for my mother on Sunday. Some people do surveys in their diary, I do studies. This is a simple one. No statistics, just raw data. When I first got on AOL I searched profiles for people that have things in common with me. That's how I met Lisa, she listed Früvous and Rubik's cube. I couldn't resist that. This came to mind the other day when I looked at Throcky's profile. She is someone that I don't know who lists me as a favorite. It seems we had lots in common including Rubik's cube. I decided to look through the Diaryland and FHDC profiles of everyone who I read or reads me and see what we have in common. Here is a list of what I found. I didn't list Früvous, given the population I'm dealing with that would just be background noise. I just stuck with what was listed on the profiles. I know I have lots more in common with many of you. There are some people that I'm really close to that I have nothing down for. Please don't think of that as a slight. I'm listing the kind of things that would have made me IM you if I found it on your AOL profile. After each name I put in links to their Diaryland profile and their FHDC profile, if they have them. Jaci aka Athena98122 aka Athena: Some Like it Hot , Buffy Leah aka BenderL aka BenderL: The Producers, Douglas Adams Joy aka Fruslug aka Fruslug: GBS, Blackadder, Carey aka Goovie aka Goovie : DVN, Slaid Cleaves, Monty Python, Rod Picott, The Kennedys, Daniel Pinkwater. Carey's is a bit of a cheat as we influenced each other in many of the things we have in common. I'm not going to analyze it any more than that. You can provide your own insights.
