With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
April 10, 2008 - 11:14 p.m. I don’t really have time to write an entry but I won’t be able to update again till Saturday so I’ll write a little something. Last night I went to the Met game and they actually won! Alan didn’t go so I did something I never do with him; I moved down to better seats. You really do get a much better view from the loge than the upper deck. I now have a nemesis in one of my classes and I let him know it. On Tuesday he sat there playing with his phone when I was teaching something. I don’t know if he was texting or playing a game but he certainly wasn’t paying attention and I called him on it. Today he was reading a newspaper. I told him to put it down and said that if he wasn’t going to pay attention to leave. I then added that if he did it again I’d kick him out. He is going to fail. He does no work and pays no attention. Why does he bother to come to class? I got something nice in the mail yesterday, Iain Campbell Smith’s new CD, Texas. I actually got four copies of it. One for me and three to give to presenters. I’m trying to line up some gigs for him when he comes back to the US in the fall. I’ll be getting another CD in the mail soon. Out of the blue Deni Bonet asked for my address so she could send me her new CD. Speaking of CDS here are the ones I picked up volunteering at WFUV.
The Mets just won their game in the twelfth inning. That’s my signal to go to bed.
