With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
The good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you are good you will be happy - I mean that if you are happy you will be good.
Too much sanity may be madness and the maddest of all, to see life as it is and not as it should be.
I enjoy paying taxes. With them I buy civilization.

Shortly after writing that depressing entry last night Leah called. A happy Leah makes me happy. I also get to have lots of fun teasing her. I can say things here that no one will understand and drive her nuts. I’m not being mean, you should hear the things she says about me. Leah can get away with more than anybody and she takes full advantage.
Johnny Cash died. I’m never sure if he gets his proper due. He and Elvis are the only ones in both the Rock and Roll and Country Music Halls of Fame. So you can’t say he is unappreciated. WFUV is featuring his music today, it has such range. There are anthems, sad songs, and funny songs. He could do it all.
I have no idea what I’m doing tonight. I might end up just wandering the city. I might make my way into Hoboken. If I do it will be a late night. I’m not sure if I want that.
