With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
January 30, 2003 - 11:33 p.m. I had a problem with one of the students in my class today. He complained I was going to fast when I was actually going slowly. He said he was still copying the blackboard when I wrote something else. I had only written three lines and he should have had time to copy it. He wouldn’t let it go when I said that I was going as slowly as I could and still teach everything I am supposed to teach. That kind of thing sets the tone for the class. The chemistry of a class is set in the beginning. Lisa and I went to return things she bought last week after school today. We didn’t spend that much time together since my sister Sue is visiting and I wanted to have dinner with her and my mother. We got done by four o’clock and Sue wasn’t here yet. When she came we went out to eat at Donavan’s. My mother and I loved it but Sue is a bit hard to please. Her husband, Mike, was at a business dinner for six in Manhattan yesterday. Guess what it cost. Take your time and don’t look ahead and cheat. It cost $2000. That’s my dinner budget for a year. Tomorrow I’m driving down to see The Kennedys with Lawrence. I still haven’t heard from Heather I hope I can see her this weekend too.
