I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity.
Edgar Allen Poe

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all.
- H. L. Mencken

Many people would sooner die than think; In fact, they do so
-Bertrand Russell

What I have been telling you, from alpha to omega, what is the one great thing the sigil taught me — that everything in life is miraculous. For the sigil taught me that it rests within the power of each of us to awaken at will from a dragging nightmare of life made up of unimportant tasks and tedious useless little habits, to see life as it really is, and to rejoice in its exquisite wonderfulness. If the sigil were proved to be the top of a tomato-can, it would not alter that big fact, nor my fixed faith. No Harrowby, the common names we call things by do not matter — except to show how very dull we are ...

Horvendile's Unvinished Edition

I still have to run out and pick up bagels and I haven't started packing and I have to leave here in a hour and a half. Sounds like a great time to write. I am so far behind. Will I ever get my videos of Kristin and Aoife uploaded? I will just don't know when. I have tons of emails to catch up on. I hate when I fall behind like this. What makes it worse is that there is no reason for me to not be catching up. I didn't do anything yesterday. I was going to go on a shopping expedition but decided that was silly when I won't be cooking again till Sunday. Instead I just picked up a few things at the local produce store and bakery.

I did make a great dinner, it's what my recent culinary adventures have been leading up to. My favorite restaurant meal in the world is the filet mignon sandwich on garlic bread at Uncle Jack's Steakhouse. I decided to make that for myself. I "improved" it by making it garlic cheese bread. I cooked the filet on my stove top grill, sliced it, and put it on the bread and added Peter Luger's steak sauce.. I had the potato bacon soup with it; for dessert a Napoleon. Sure it might not be healthy but it tasted amazing. I'm willing to bet that I enjoyed my dinner more than you enjoyed yours. There was garlic on the bread and in the soup so I'm protected from vampires. That should make up for any health risks.

Today Im taking the Megabus down to visit LORi and Steve and see We're About 9 at the Lansdowne Folk Club. If you live anywhere in the Greater Philly area I expect to see you.

That's all I wrote before I left and forgot to post it.
