With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
The good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you are good you will be happy - I mean that if you are happy you will be good.
Too much sanity may be madness and the maddest of all, to see life as it is and not as it should be.
I enjoy paying taxes. With them I buy civilization.
2002-07-25 - 12:50 a.m.
I'm all packed. I finished a bit after midnight. I couldn't find the dome light for my tent till then. All the big camping equipment is in my car already. All I have to load tomorrow are my sports bags and my backpack.
Lisa moves since last year. She used to live in the Bronx, right on the way to FRFF . Now she lives in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, which is in the opposite direction. That means I have to get up much earlier and we'll get there much later.
Two major accomplishments for me: I remembered to pack my towel and I remembered how to get to FRFF.
In the morning I have to remember to pack my toiletries and the cooler that will be the last hurdle.
