With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
2002-10-12 - 11:28 p.m. Hi Bernie! So it looks like my entire Harem, Carey, Lori, Joy, and Nitsa, updated before I did. Good, now I can have the last word. I was supposed to be a Joy’s at 3 but thanks the Merge I got there a half hour late. After a search of Joy’s dorm I found Joy, Carey, and Nitsa, they had been hiding from me. Spell check does not like Nitsa’s name. I’m going to have to thwap it. That’s better. We played in the dorm till Lori arrived then we were off to The Point to see Da Vinci’s Notebook. Before the show we talked, or should I say listened, to Bernie. He had just been a bad boy and cleaned out the used CD store near the venue. We got a guided tour to Bernie’s music. Bernie is so enthusiastic. I know I’ve said it before but it is one of my favorite character traits. Bernie is good people. As usual I’ll leave the concert review to those with working memories. I would like to say that if the members of my Harem really loved me one of them would have mentioned the name of the opening act so that I could include it in my Concert Calendar. I can’t really have a better time than seeing one of my favorite bands with four of my favorite people. Nitsa gets lots of Gordonpoints for finding a silver lining to my losing my hair. She said the hair on top of my head was very soft and she liked petting it. We ran into Joni last night. She was one of the very first people I met when I first got AOL. I searched profiles for Fruvous and found her. I haven’t spoken to her I three years. It was nice to see her again. Her brother is in the opening act whose name I can’t remember. I know it’s not “why not?” I know I just saw Carey last weekend but each time I see her it’s an emotional experience now. She’s moving to Chicago in less than 2 months and we won’t be able to see each other as often once she does. I’m happy for her that she’s going to be with Neal but I’m going to miss her. I keep telling her and myself that she’ll never be more than a phone call away. After the show we dropped Joy and Nitsa off and caravanned over to Lori’s. That was a bit of an adventure. Fortunately Lori’s is an easy car to follow and Carey’s is an easy car to see behind you so we were able to keep together and only ran a few red lights in the process. We ended up acting like 12-year-olds and having a slumber party. That is still so much fun. We woke up fairly early and had more silly goodness in the morning. After going out for breakfast we didn’t have much energy so we just sat around the house and scared the workman working on Lori’s house. We really are a pretty scary group. Carey and I left early enough so that we wouldn’t fall asleep on our rides home. I had an easy trip till I hit the city then got caught in bad traffic and got a bit lost trying to take a short cut. I knew where I was but I missed a turn so the shortcut became pretty long. I’m taking advantage of being home on a Saturday night and I’m listening to Vin Scelsa on WFUV. I don’t usually get to do that. Tomorrow I’ll try and mark tests and make up the tests for my other class. On Monday my mother is having cataract surgery. She’s had it before and it’s really safe so it’s not that stressful. It wouldn’t call it fun though. Bye Bernie.
