Just as I heard this Leah told me that she had a problem at school today. Carey and Leah are as important to me as anyone in the world. I was feeling miserable. I had tickets to tonight’s Met game and I called Carey to make sure that she was OK before I left. I’d have stayed and talked to her till she had to go to pick up Neal. She told me to go to the game and enjoy myself. I didn’t really think I could. I was crying. When I got into my car and put on the radio the perfect song was playing on WFUV, Three Little Birds by Bob Marley . The last time I heard the song was when Carey and I heard Black 47 sing it. The song told me just what I needed to hear. Don't worry about a thing 'Cause ev'ry little thing gonna be alright Singin', "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause ev'ry little thing gonna be alright." Not because Carey and Leah are good people and deserve the best. No, things are gonna be al-right because they will make it al-right. They are off to fresh starts. Carey is moving to Chicago. Even though there are lots of people who can’t see their nose in front of their face there are perceptive people too. Someone will see how intelligent, hardworking, and creative Carey is and give her a job where she’ll get to exercise her talents. Leah is moving to Montclair and starting at a new school. She is bright and talented and people will see this. I’m not the only one who knows that they are both remarkable people. It’s just a matter of time before everyone knows it.
