With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
The good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you are good you will be happy - I mean that if you are happy you will be good.
Too much sanity may be madness and the maddest of all, to see life as it is and not as it should be.
I enjoy paying taxes. With them I buy civilization.

So I forgot something that belonged in my last entry. Sue and Mike brought me my birthday present on Thursday; an autographed Nolan Ryan baseball in display case. It is on my coffee table now. I really should take a picture of it. I'll do that today.
Last night I went to see Abbie Gardner and Anthony Da Costa at Coffee Labs in Tarrytown. The place was right next to Town Hall where I've seen Richard Thompson many times. I found my usual parking spot a block away. I stopped at the good ice cream place down the block before I went to the venue. I can't resist home made ice cream. There was an artist painting a mural on the wall while I was there that I got friendly with. I took her picture. Then I accidentally erased it. Have I mentioned that I have no brain?
I got to Coffee Labs about 45 minutes before the show and set up the merch and helped with the sound check. In other words I hung out with Abbie and Anthony and tried to not get in the way too much.
As I was checking the room during the sound check a group of kids came in and grabbed the chairs from the table I was saving for Chris, Katie, and myself. They saw the stuff on the table, saw me standing there, and didn't think to ask. There was nobody else in the store so they could have taken them from any table but they chose the one that people were obviously using.
That led to a game of musical chairs. I grabbed chairs from another table. Then when people came and wanted to sit there I grabbed chairs from a further table. Then Abbie's parents came and by then there were no more regular chairs and I grabbed the high stools from the front of the store. Things finally settled down and Chris and Katie came in.
This was my first time meeting Katie. She passed the test, Chris can go out with her. I'm sure she'll be relieved that she met my approval. You can see for yourself.
I love Abbie and Anthony shows. Not only are they amazingly talented but it is just so much fun watching Abbie enjoying the show. Just look at that smile.
There was a really nice size crowd in the tiny room. Most people had to stand. 
Now for something new. I made a video of one song and you can watch it.
Abbie and Anthony shows are not predictable.
After the show we hung out for quite some time. We finally started on our way home an hour after it ended. I didn't really need the GPS to get back to Chris's but I used it and it came in handy when the BQE came to a stand still. I had it navigate around the problem and it only ended up costing us about 10 minutes. I had to use it again to get back to my house. There always seems to be construction on the BQE on the way home back from Chris's.
Sue came over today and we worked on cleaning up the house. The spare bedroom upstairs is now pretty much neat and you can actually see the floor in my room. There is still quite a bit more work to be done.
Tonight I’m off to feed Larry's cats. How is that for excitement? Tomorrow is Roy's daughter Robin's wedding.
